AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...... would people stop with the Sponge Bob Square Pants thing
Just for clarification and gloating, Sponge Bob does NOT work at Crabby Patties, he works at the Krusty Krab as a fry cook. Also, Plankton is the owner of the Chum Bucket.
Oh, and Josh? You suck. Jos'll say that en espanol for you later on, unless someone else beats him to it.
On an unrelated note, I feel dumb because as I read through the archives, I realize I've never seen an episode of Sponge Bob Square Pants. Can somebody tell me when it's on, what channel, and what it's about? Thanks
I finally start my job at CineMagic this Friday. In case anyone cares.
It's just above minimum wage, but I get free movies with a friend. I think that's decent enough.
Yum... I ate ice cream today. Probably too much, but it was there and I was rather stressed out today.... so Peter's natural response jumps in....... oh well. I don't quite understand why you strange mayo people started off with India... besides the fact that your teacher is Indian.... which isnt really a good excuse....
i'm not a big coffee fan. I like some coffee but not much. Josh, however, worships coffee. If Josh were not a Christian, (and a good, moral, Calvinist Christian at that) I think he would be a Coffean. I think someone should start a coffee-centered religion, or at least caffeine-centered. Then all would be free to partake of their various caffeinated beverages. It'd be like denominations. You have a Coffean Caffeinist, a Mountain Dewist Caffeinist, a Red Bullian Caffeinist, etc.
The dots i was referring to have a dual meaning. It could either be referring to the dots i was using in my post (i.e. ...) or that marvelous form of ice cream served at amusement parks and other places they can rip people off at.
You know, I just got to thinking, but saying India has over 600 gods is sort of a blanket statement, and not one that should be made, either. I couldn't imagine the number of different gods worshipped in America.
That's kinda weird that you guys skipped over all that stuff, considering that the cultures you skipped over were probably the most influential cultures of all. Sumerians, Persians, Hebrews, Egyptians, those are kinda important, much more important to history than Indian culture. Guess the teacher's probably a bit biased though. I probably am too. Hey, we all are! We're one big biased family! WOO-HOO!!
Actually, no, in his book, he says gods...
I never said the gods were all hindu gods...
I just said that according to Ravi Zacharias, in India, there are over 600 different gods that people worship...
I would say that to the majority of people, God(s) is/are more than an abstract idea that is in every person's soul...
Dots are the greatest invention of all time...
I'd like to go back in time and kiss the man/woman who invented dots...
I wasn't trying to be an elitist intellectual snob...
Snob maybe...but not an elitist intellectual one...you stupidhead...
Elitist is fun to say fast...
I like dots...
I don't have math this semester...
I haven't had a big homework assignment yet...
Hey Josh, how did you know about the "surprise" in sunday school today? Did someone tell you...
Continuing to like dots...
I like white chocolate better than milk chocolate...
That must make me racist or something...
Maybe chocolatist...
I'm a white supremacist...
White chocolate supremacist that is...
I'm going to leave now...
Dots are good...
Yeah Jos, we beat you when it comes to Hindu (I made a rhyme!). I just kinda rerealized today that we skipped over all of Hebrew, Egytian, Sumerian, Persion, and Arabic literature. I guess they all pale in comparison to India and Hinduism.
I dunno much about Hinduism. I should look into that. I usually only study something if it's relevant to me. So far I haven't met anyone that's Hindu, or had it come up in conversation. Guess now it's time to check into it. There's a cool guy out there by the name of Ravi Zacharias. He grew up in India, which, as you probably know, is mainly Buddhist and Hindu. He said that in India, there are over 600 gods that are worshipped. That's a heck of a lot of gods. He wrote a book called the Lotus and the Cross. It's Jesus talking to Buddha, I think. It's sposed to be pretty good. I haven't read it.
Janitors are cool, as long as they aren't trying to kill me.
Globalization is good.
Scott, you slacker.
Stupid Blogger, I hate you. I hope you rot in the 300th circle of hell for all of eternity.
We're reading the Epic of Gilgamesh in World Lit right now. It's cool, especially how similar the flood story is to Noah. It's freakishly similar. I heard somewhere that in almost every major culture around the world, there are flood stories similar to Noah. Makes ya think there's something to it...

Whoa.. whoa.... my comments about Doc's were not intended to be an endorsment of anti-globalization. I agree with Josh, globalization overall is a very good thing. Don't even get me started about free trade and steel tarriffs. However, if a local business provides superior products and services to a largish company, such as Starbucks, I see no reason to prefer Starbucks (some people see going to Starbucks as a status symbol.... thats more what I was thinking of at the time). Granted there are times where Starbucks IS more convienent than Doc's for me, but if I was choosing one of those two places to go to hang out with friends, and not just buy coffee, I would choose Doc's.
Hey Josh... do you own a copy of "Lexus....."? If so, could I borrow it? It's been on my "I think I should read it" list for a couple years now
Well golly gee, I'm sorry! I was only trying to start up a conversation, and I figured Kapoor had done a good enough job making a question I should just use it again.
